A new FY2026 report from the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation gives the region a fuller picture of its recent industrial pipeline: three named projects account for 328 announced jobs and about $123.9 million in investment.
The total combines Nathan Trotter's planned $65 million tin-processing facility and 118 jobs, Fukoku America's $18.9 million Patriot Centre manufacturing operation and 60 jobs, and Rural King's $40 million distribution center and 150 jobs announced June 30. The projects span critical-mineral processing, automotive components and regional logistics, giving the corridor a broader mix than a single-plant expansion.
The report also says a 100,440-square-foot shell building at Patriot Centre is complete and that engineering for the 118-acre Tract 3 at Commonwealth Crossing has been completed. Those milestones matter because a ready building and a better-defined industrial site can shorten the time between a prospect's first visit and a construction or occupancy decision.
For local residents, the next useful follow-up is hiring information and training timelines. For builders, suppliers and developers, the EDC's sites-and-buildings inventory is the practical place to review available industrial capacity and contact the regional team.
