SUV Flips Onto Roof in Stokes County Crash; Driver Escapes Without Serious Injury
A rollover crash in Stokes County ended with a fortunate outcome Sunday afternoon after the driver escaped without injuries requiring hospitalization.
According to emergency officials, Station 36 firefighters and Stokes County EMS were dispatched at 4:23 p.m. on August 2 to the 1500 block of Highway 770 for a reported motor vehicle collision.
When crews arrived, they found a vehicle overturned on its roof. The occupant had already exited the vehicle and was walking around when first responders reached the scene.
Stokes County EMS evaluated the driver at the scene and determined that no injuries required transport to a hospital.
Emergency officials are reminding motorists to remain alert while traveling and to always wear a seatbelt, noting that seatbelt use can significantly reduce the risk of serious injury in a crash.
