PATRICK COUNTY, Va. - Traffic alert, updated September 11, 2026: The Virginia Department of Transportation says a section of Route 672 (The Hollow Road) remains closed to through traffic for emergency repairs.
Recent flooding damaged the bridge over the Ararat River near Route 773 (Ararat Highway). Drivers must use alternate routes.
VDOT says engineering assessment is continuing. Repair work will begin after water recedes and materials arrive, weather permitting. No reopening date has been announced.
