Roanoke sets State of the City address for Aug. 27

Roanoke residents and business leaders have a date for the city's next State of the City address.

The City of Roanoke says Mayor Joseph Cobb will deliver the 2026 State of the City address from 8 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, 110 Shenandoah Ave. NE. Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.

The event is hosted by the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce. The city says registration is required, seating is limited and tickets are $40 per person. Residents who cannot attend in person can watch live on the city's YouTube channel, with replays planned on Roanoke Valley Television.
