Roanoke singer-songwriter Dan Carrell is scheduled to bring a free afternoon performance to the Taubman Museum of Art on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2026, with the Front Porch Music Series set for 3 to 5 p.m.
The museum describes Carrell as a familiar part of the region’s music scene. He is a founding member of the reggae-rock band Shorefire and also performs as part of the acoustic duo ¡Steele Y Dan! The Taubman says his solo set will center on songwriting, vocals and storytelling.
The event is open to the public and does not require registration. Seating is limited, so the museum encourages early arrival. Beer, wine and other refreshments will be available for purchase, while museum members receive one complimentary drink ticket.
The Taubman Museum of Art is at 110 Salem Avenue SE, Roanoke. The museum lists its phone number as (540) 342-5760. Readers should check the museum’s event page for any last-minute schedule or access updates before heading downtown.
