STUART, Va. — The Patrick County Agricultural Fair will return Sept. 15-19 at 420 Woodland Drive, bringing a midway, livestock exhibits, fair food, nightly entertainment and a fireworks show to the county seat.
The fair opens Tuesday, Sept. 15, with student night: adults 19 and older are listed at $5, ages 0-18 are admitted free, and a $30 ride wristband is available for rides from 6 to 10 p.m. The schedule also includes a Little Caesars Pizza Eating Contest at 7:30 p.m. and a horse night program.
Livestock and entertainment rotate through the week. Beef cattle and hogs are scheduled Wednesday, sheep and goats Thursday, and poultry, rabbits and cavy Friday. Thursday’s schedule lists free admission for seniors, active military members and veterans. Saturday, Sept. 19, includes a hay toss contest and fireworks at about 10 p.m.
