In a major boost for local farmers and consumers alike, a new farmer's market has opened in downtown Martinsville. The market, which occupies the former site of the old town square, will provide a platform for local farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers, thereby boosting the local economy.The farmer's market is expected to host over 50 vendors, all from the Martinsville and greater Henry County area. The market will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 2 pm.
