Danville's Project Imagine has launched a housing-stability pilot aimed at young adults who are ready to move toward independent living but need practical support to make that transition last.
The city says the 12-week Housing Stabilization Program was created with the Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority and Third Chance Housing. It is designed for people ages 18 to 24 and combines housing support, classes, and one-on-one guidance.
- What to know: The first four weeks focus on tenant responsibilities, money management, home organization, and daily habits that support stable housing.
- What happens next: Participants then work with housing stabilization advocates who help connect them with resources and troubleshoot challenges.
- Why it matters: Housing stability is tied to workforce readiness, family stability, and violence-prevention work across Danville and the Southside region.
Families, referral partners, and eligible young adults can contact Robert David at robert.david@danvilleva.gov or 434-857-3354 for more information about Project Imagine programs.
