Rockingham County families have one more stop to watch in the county's Growing Healthy Families series. A county public-health calendar notice for the May 20 Wentworth event says the final event in the four-part series is planned for Eden on Tuesday, June 2.
The series is the rebranded version of the county's maternal and child health expo. Rockingham County Public Health says the 2026 version is broader than a baby-focused event, offering services and activities for families with older children as well as expecting parents and parents of young children.
The county describes each event as free, with no registration required, and says giveaways are part of the outreach. That matters for Reidsville, Eden, Wentworth and the wider Rockingham corridor because public-health events are often where families learn about WIC, child health, safe sleep, clinic services, parenting resources and other supports before a crisis hits.
Families planning to attend should check the Rockingham County calendar before leaving for the Eden stop in case room, time or program details are updated. The larger takeaway is simple: the county is trying to put health resources in front of families outside a formal appointment setting.
