Danville offers free six-week marketing lab for small businesses

Danville small businesses and entrepreneurs have a free marketing workshop series to consider before the holiday sales season.

The Danville Office of Economic Development and Tourism will host Can You Reach Me Now: Holiday Campaign Lab, a six-week workshop running every Tuesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m., beginning August 4 and ending September 8, 2026.

The city says participants will build a complete holiday marketing campaign, including audience strategy, budget planning, messaging and content for multiple channels. The series is open to small business owners and entrepreneurs regardless of prior workshop attendance.

• What to know: Registration is free but required, and sessions will be held at Dan River Falls, 420 Memorial Drive, Suite 200.
• Who is affected: Danville retailers, makers, service businesses, entrepreneurs and downtown or River District businesses planning holiday promotions.
• Why it matters: Businesses that attend all six classes can receive $250 toward implementing their plan, with another $250 available if the business provides a $250 match.
