Guilford County's Big Pick volunteer grape harvest set for Sept. 26 in Gibsonville

Greensboro — Guilford County Parks and Recreation is inviting volunteers to the 2026 Big Pick, an annual grape harvest scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Guilford County Farm, 7315 Howerton Road, Gibsonville.

The harvest benefits local food banks and shelters. The county also lists a second volunteer date for Saturday, Oct. 3, giving residents another opportunity to participate in the seasonal project.

No prior experience is needed. Organizers recommend comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and hats for the outdoor work, and volunteers should use the county's registration form before arriving.
