Guilford County is inviting job seekers to a series of targeted hiring events in Greensboro throughout August, with openings spanning public safety, healthcare, juvenile detention and social services.
The first event is a Public Safety Career Expo from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 401 W. Sycamore St. The county says representatives will discuss jobs in Animal Services, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Services, the Sheriff's Office, the Detention Center, Juvenile Detention and Security.
A Nursing Hiring Event is set for 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 1203 Maple St. The event will focus on school nurse and clinical nurse specialist positions.
Two more events are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 3 to 6 p.m.: a Juvenile Detention Hiring Event at 15 Lockheed Court and a Social Services Hiring Event at 1203 Maple St. The county says the first is seeking juvenile counselor technicians and the second is seeking Children's Services social workers.
