Guilford Planning Board to hear five zoning matters Aug. 12

The Guilford County Planning Board is scheduled to hear five zoning matters during its regular meeting Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m. in the Old County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St., Greensboro.

The agenda includes a conditional rezoning request for about 1.5 acres at 5100 Old Randleman Road, a 4.43-acre request at 5731 Coble Church Road and a request involving about 32.96 acres of a 48.31-acre tract at 568 NC Highway 62 East.

The board also will consider two Unified Development Ordinance text amendments. One would clarify owner-consent requirements for downzoning. The other would adjust dimensional standards in agricultural and mixed-use districts and add twin homes or duplexes as a permitted use by right in the RS-40 district.

The listed rezonings and text amendments are proposals, not final approvals. Residents should review the county’s agenda packet for case maps, conditions and participation details before attending.
