A man is in critical condition after a shooting in High Point, police say.

Around 9:15 p.m. Friday, the High Point Police Department responded to a local hospital where a man had arrived with a gunshot wound. Officers learned the man had been shot outside a home in the 1100 block of Worth Street and was then driven to the hospital.

He is currently in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
