After what police describe as a lengthy narcotics investigation, Eden Police finally made their move — and say they found enough alleged criminal activity at one Harris Street address to keep the paperwork department busy.
On September 2, 2026, Eden Police Department narcotics detectives executed a narcotics-related search warrant at 928 Harris Street.
The search resulted in multiple felony charges against 59-year-old Curtis Eugene Terry.
According to Eden Police, detectives secured warrants charging Terry with:
Possession of a Firearm by a Felon — Felony
Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance — Felony
Possession of Cocaine — Felony
Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine (PWISD) — Felony
Exposing a Child to a Controlled Substance — 2 counts — Felony
Sell/Deliver Controlled Substance Within 1,000 Feet of a Park — Felony
Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling for Controlled Substances — Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia — Misdemeanor
Police say the investigation had been ongoing for some time before detectives obtained and executed the search warrant.
And apparently, according to the charges, this wasn't simply a case of somebody allegedly having a bad day with a bag of drugs. Investigators allege the situation involved cocaine, a Schedule I controlled substance, a firearm in the possession of a convicted felon, drug paraphernalia and children allegedly being exposed to controlled substances.
The allegation involving the sale or delivery of drugs within 1,000 feet of a park could bring additional consequences under North Carolina law.
Terry now faces a lengthy list of charges, most of them felonies.
As with all criminal charges, Terry is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
Eden Police say the investigation remains part of their ongoing effort to target illegal narcotics activity in the community.
