Reidsville's highly touted defensive end Kadence Pruitt suffered a season-ending injury during the Rams' 20-19 loss to Danville George Washington on Aug. 28.

An MRI after the game revealed a torn ACL and damaged meniscus in his left knee, which occurred during a punting situation. Pruitt, who also serves as the Rams' long snapper, said he was grabbed from behind and blindsided after the snap, causing him to twist his knee. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound defensive end, nicknamed Thor by teammates for his long golden locks, size and strength, had recorded 11 solo tackles, 2.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss in just two games. He accepted a football scholarship from UNC Charlotte on July 8 and met with head coach Tim Albin to discuss the injury at the 49ers' home opener Saturday.

Pruitt is a 3-star recruit and the 37th defensive end prospect for the class of 2027 according to 247Sports.
