— The deadly shooting outside a Greensboro nightclub has now produced a second round of trouble — with four people facing charges, including the club's owner.
The arrests came less than a week after gunfire erupted outside The O on West Market Street, leaving one person dead and four others injured, according to North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement.
On Thursday evening, law enforcement officers were seen at the nightclub bringing two people from the business out in handcuffs.
By Friday, Alcohol Law Enforcement confirmed that four people had been arrested in connection with the investigation.
Among those arrested was 62-year-old Stephen Jones, the owner of The O.
According to arrest warrants, Jones faces multiple charges, including:
Felony maintaining a business for controlled substances
Three counts of failure to superintend
Three counts of allowing unlawful conduct to occur on licensed premises
Allowing unlawful consumption of controlled substances to occur on licensed premises
The warrants allege that the nightclub “was used for keeping and selling” marijuana.
CHARGES SPAN TWO NIGHTS
Investigators say the charges aren't all tied to the same night.
Some of the alleged offenses occurred on September 20, the night of the deadly shooting, while other charges are dated September 18.
The arrests come as investigators continue working to piece together what happened during the deadly shooting outside the West Market Street nightclub.
The shooting left one person dead and four others injured, sending multiple victims to the hospital.
The latest arrests add another layer to a case that already had Greensboro talking — this time putting the nightclub itself under the law-enforcement microscope.
The charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
