Kernersville Honeybee Festival returns Aug. 15 with free admission

KERNERSVILLE — Kernersville Parks and Recreation will host its annual Honeybee Festival on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Fourth of July Park, bringing vendors, food trucks and honey-themed activities to the Winston-Salem-area community.

The festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 702 W. Mountain St. Organizers say more than 140 vendors are expected, and admission is free. Visitors should plan to bring spending money for vendors, activities and food trucks because there will be no ATM on the festival grounds.

General parking is at Kernersville Elementary School, 512 W. Mountain St. Accessible parking is available at the front lot of Fourth of July Park for visitors with a valid placard. Bikes and skateboards are not allowed during the festival, and the park’s skate area will be closed.

The event is pet-friendly, but organizers require pets to remain leashed. The festival is scheduled rain or shine; severe-weather updates will be posted through Kernersville Parks and Recreation’s official channels.
