KERNERSVILLE — The free Home Grown Arts Fest returns to Harmon Park on Saturday, Aug. 22, giving residents a chance to shop handmade work from more than 40 local and regional artisans.
The 12th annual outdoor festival is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Harmon Park, 152 S. Main St., Kernersville. The Visit Winston-Salem event listing places the festival in its free-events, shopping and Kernersville categories.
Organizers say the vendor lineup will include original work in pottery, jewelry, woodworking, fused glass, fiber arts and natural body products. That makes the event a practical stop for shoppers looking for locally made gifts while also giving small makers a public venue to show their work.
The festival is outdoors and free to attend. Visitors should plan for summer conditions, allow time to browse the vendor area and check the event listing before traveling for any weather or schedule updates.
