Winston-Salem’s Back to Trade event will bring live music and a temporary downtown street closure to the Arts District on Friday, Aug. 21.
The free event is scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. at the intersection of Sixth Street and Trade Street. The city says the closure will begin at 2 p.m. and continue until 11 p.m., covering the event window plus setup and breakdown time.
For drivers, the closure affects the area around Sixth and Trade. The city’s event listing points visitors toward the 6th/Cherry/Trade Parking Deck at 519 N. Cherry St., along with nearby street parking and private lots.
Organizers say the outdoor concert is open to the public. Visitors may bring outside food, but the city listing says alcohol is not allowed from outside and small coolers may be inspected. Weather updates are posted through Downtown Winston-Salem’s Facebook page.
