Forsyth County residents can meet with Department of Social Services staff during walk-in help hours at the Walkertown Branch Library on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026. The session is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Walkertown Conference Room.
The library is at 2969 Main Street, Walkertown, NC 27051. The event listing says no appointment is necessary, giving residents an evening option for questions that may be difficult to handle during a standard workday.
DSS staff can answer questions, provide information and help residents apply for energy programs, food and nutrition assistance, and Medicaid. The listing also says staff can provide on-site assistance and case follow-up for Forsyth County residents with active DSS cases.
Residents should check the official Walkertown event page before traveling for any schedule changes. The Forsyth County Public Library calendar also lists the broader August program schedule.
