A 63-year-old Greensboro man is facing multiple child sex crime charges following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, police say.

The Greensboro Police Department says its Violent Criminal Apprehension Team took Kenneth Egerton into custody at a Greensboro home Wednesday and charged him with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The investigation began in July after detectives assigned to the Triad Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding suspected exploitation of a child. After Egerton was taken into custody, Greensboro and High Point detectives executed a search warrant at his home. The Triad ICAC Task Force, formed in 2026, is a partnership between GPD, the High Point Police Department and the FBI's Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Egerton was released on a $30,000 secured bond and is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
