They call it nontraditional. She calls it Tuesday. In welding, about one in twenty workers is a woman. Meet Javonna Scales—trained in the welding bays right here at Rockingham Community College and now working on the floor at ABCO Automation. She’s just one of the women doing the work across our county alongside teams at Gildan, BETA Fueling, and Tree Enterprises.
