Reidsville is set to add a new manufacturing operation after Talalay Global selected Rockingham County for an expansion expected to create 52 jobs.
Rockingham County's June 18 announcement describes the project as a $27 million capital investment and says the jobs are expected to pay an average annual wage of $50,278. The latex sleep-products manufacturer plans to lease about 125,000 square feet in the Global Textile Properties facility on Holiday Loop Road.
A $400,000 North Carolina Building Reuse Grant will help upfit the building. The state Commerce Department says $725,000 of investment is tied directly to the grant-supported project; Rockingham County describes the larger overall company project as the $27 million expansion. Operations are expected to begin in early 2027 after facility preparation and equipment installation.
- What Talalay makes: Latex mattresses, mattress components, toppers and pillows for North American and international customers.
- Why it matters: The project reuses an existing industrial building, adds above-local-average manufacturing wages and broadens Reidsville's production base.
- What comes next: Building upfit, equipment installation and hiring ahead of the planned 2027 startup.
Job seekers can monitor Talalay Global and Rockingham County Economic Development for verified hiring announcements as the opening date approaches.
